Cancer is a pain in the… ahem…

I found this card some time ago. I thought it accurately summed up so many different parts of the cancer experience: the unsavory treatments, the impersonal medical research, and the subtle residue of victimization left with the patient. Of course, it also brilliantly captures the essence of cancer treatment: sometimes the cure makes you feel like you’re dying anyway. 🙂 I believe I bought every card on the rack & sent one to every cancer patient I knew.

Andrea, PunkRockMommy, is in a holding pattern right now with fresh scans, cryptic calls from the doctor’s staff and no answers or appointment until Friday. Keep her and Kelly in your prayers for a measure of peace until then.

In the meantime, keep your eyes open for a couple of lab geeks and a big fat suppository with Andrea’s name on it.

Praying for Andrea today. Thanks for the update, Imstell. Maybe this site will be an easy way to keep tabs on each other as well as stretch our minds and experiences to learn more. Awesome.

    We’re with you, Andrea!
