Apparently, in the U.S., today is National Cancer Survivor’s Day. Yesterday was the Global Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in many cities, including Washington, D.C. All kinds of activities are planned for today, including special events at our local ballparks to recognize survivors. I’m missing out, stuck in the hospital with an infection, but just wanted to take this moment to wish YOU and YOUR loved ones a Happy Cancer Survivor’s Day! It may not all be happy, but awareness and excellent medical care have given us a second (or third) shot at all that life has to offer.
And that is pretty darn amazing. YOU are pretty darn amazing, and it’s a good day to celebrate it!
